Edith Eger hat den Holocaust mit knapper Not überlebt, hat danach jahrzehntelang ihr schweres Trauma nicht anzusehen gewagt, und es schließlich dann doch nicht nur aufgearbeitet, sondern fruchtbar gemacht. Zunächst für sich selbst, dann aber auch, indem sie seitdem andere Menschen bei der Bewältigung schlimmer Erfahrungen und Situationen unterstützt. Ihre Kernbotschaft: Wir können nicht immer beeinflussen, was uns widerfährt - wir können aber beeinflussen, wie wir darauf reagieren. Eger schreibt packend und spannend, manchmal auch poetisch. Ein rundum lebensweises, bereicherndes Buch!

Ich lese allgemein sehr viel, aber dieses Buch wurde von mir regelrecht verschlungen!Es liest sich flüssig und spannend bis zur letzten Seite.Da es von der frühen Kindheit berichtet und dann, was alles ab der Deportation passierte, ist es extrem heftige Kost. Wirklich!Wäre es ein Roman, hätte ich es als absolut endlos übertrieben und nicht glaubhaft abgeurteilt.Da es sich aber um eine Biographie einer Überlebenden handelt, ist das alles einfach nur kaum auszuhalten.Unfassbar, was mancher Mensch alles aushalten muss und kann!Doch bei all dem nicht fassbaren Gräul ist die Erzählerin stets total offen, nicht moralisch, kein bisschen platt oder besserwisserisch, weder schuldzuweisend noch grollend und bis zum Schluss, bis zum letzten Buchstaben !!! extrem konstruktiv und extrem ehrlich!Man geht quasi mit der Erzählerin durch ihre dunkelsten Momente bis hin zum Licht, dass sie für sich gefunden hat.Und das Beste, es gibt so viele verschiedene Fallbeispiele aus ihrem Leben und aus ihrer Praxis, dass sich jeder darin finden und Hilfe daraus schöpfen kann.Es beginnt mit der Begegnung eines schwierigen Patienten in ihrer Praxis , dann berichtet sie von ihrer Kindheit und Jugend, danach von der Auswanderung bis wieder hin zu eben diesem Patienten. Sie erzählt, wie es ihr mit ihm und später dann auch mit anderen Patienten erging, was sie versuchte, um zu helfen und wie sie jedes Mal auch selbst für sich dazugelernt hat.Immer ein Stückchen mehr zu innerer Freiheit, Zufriedenheit und Glück. Trotz oder gerade wegen den Umständen.Dabei erfährt man auch, und das ist insbesondere für uns Psychotherapeuten interessant und nützlich, welche Methoden sie anwendet. Tipps und Tricks und hilfreiche Interventionen.Somit ist das Buch nicht nur eine sehr hilfreiche Lektüre für den persönlichen eigenen inneren Weg aus dem Dunkeln, das jeder in sich hat, hin zum eigenen inneren Licht, das auch bei jedem nur darauf wartet, endlich raus zu dürfen und in erster Linie uns selber, aber auch jeden anderen, der es zulassen möchte, erwärmt.Sondern es ist ein kleines Schatzkästchen für die, bei denen andere Menschen Hilfe suchen.Absolut lesenswert!

Das Buch ist fesselnd und kann schnell durchgelesen werden. Frau Dr. Eger hat einen wunderbaren Schreibstil, der einen in dieerahnen lässt, was sie alles durchmachen musste.Wie hilfreich sie nun anderen Menschen durch ihr Schicksal sein kann.

Klappentext Nach Kriegsende ist Anna in England geblieben. Verheiratet mit einem bekannten Autor führt sie ein zufriedenes Leben. Da wird sie nach Berlin gerufen. Ihre Mutter liegt nach einem Selbstmordversuch im Koma. Die Begegnung mit ihr führt Anna noch einmal zurück in die Jahre ihrer Kindheit. Über den Autor und weitere Mitwirkende Judith Kerr war die Autorin der "Rosa Kaninchen"-Trilogie. Am 14. Juni 1923 kam Judith Kerr als Tochter des berühmten Theaterkritikers Alfred Kerr in Berlin zur Welt. Sofort nach der Machtergreifung der Nazis musste die jüdische Familie aus Deutschland fliehen. Nach Stationen in der Schweiz und Frankreich emigrierte sie 1935 schließlich nach London. Nach dem Krieg arbeitete Judith Kerr als freiberufliche Malerin und Textildesignerin. Seit 1953 war sie für die BBC tätig, erst als Redakteurin und Lektorin, später dann als Drehbuchautorin. 1954 heiratete Judith Kerr den Schriftsteller Nigel Kneale. Nach der Geburt ihrer Kinder Tacy und Matthew gab sie ihre Arbeit für einige Jahre auf. Von ihrem Mann ermutigt, begann Judith Kerr Ende der 60er Jahre die Geschichte des Mädchens Anna zu schreiben. Es ist ihre eigene Geschichte, aber die Bücher sind, wie sie betonte, "Romane und keine Memoiren". Der erste Band der Trilogie "Als Hitler das rosa Kaninchen stahl" umspannt den Zeitraum von 1933 bis 1937 und spielt an den Schauplätzen Berlin, Zürich und Paris. Der zweite Band "Warten bis der Frieden kommt" schildert Anna während der Kriegszeit in London. In "Eine Art Familientreffen" kehrt Anna 1956 nach Berlin zurück und Erinnerungen an ihre eigene Kindheit werden wach. "Als Hitler das rosa Kaninchen stahl" ist nicht nur ein Standardwerk der Jugendliteratur, sondern ein anerkannter Klassiker in der Emigrantenliteratur. Es wurde 1974 mit dem Deutschen Jugendliteraturpreis ausgezeichnet. Judith Kerr starb am 22.5.2019 in London.

Da gefielen mir Band eins (sowieso) und Band Zwei um Längen besser. Das dritte zieht sich ziemlich und wirkt mir zu kühl und unpersönlich. Ist aber nur mein Empfinden.

Dies Buch ist nicht so interessant wie die beiden vorigen Bücher. Es wird darin einiges wiederholt. Als TB, das nicht so teuer ist, kann man es aber kaufen.

Ein wirklich schönes Buch. Ist Buch 3 einer Trilogie. Ist empfehlenswert alle 3 Bücher zu lesen.Zum Beispiel für den Schulbereich.
